Amy Stirnkorb and Julie Knowles

So I drove down to the Coffee Bean in Mission Valley today to meet with Leigh Fenly, Amy Zimmerman and Amy Stinkorb to discuss the re-design of the Women’s Empowerment International website.  We’re all excited to see how it will evolve!

What I’m really excited about is the start of a working relationship with Amy Stirnkorb who is a graphics designer!  While we were there, she asked if I’d be interested in working with her.  She has to turn down jobs for websites because she doesn’t know how to do the back end.  Now we can partner up with her on the front end and me on the back end….YAY!!

Webmaster Jam Session 2008, Day Two

They did something really interesting to start of Day Two of the Webmaster Jam Session.  They asked for websites the previous day and then they went through and critiqued them.  I was brave enough (or stupid enough) to ask for a critique on my Women’s Empowerment International website.  They made some really great suggestions that I now need to implement! Boston to Atlanta and PT Cruisers

My flight left Boston around noon and I arrived on time in Atlanta around 4pm.  I got off the plane and headed towards baggage claim to pick up my bag.  Now normally I’m used to San Diego airport where the baggage claim is actually very close to the gates, so I start off walking.  And I continue to walk…..and walk…..and walk……  I saw a train that obviously went to baggage claim, but really, how far away can the baggage claim be?  Turns out the baggage claim was actually 1/2 mile from the gate!
