The Ajax Experience 2008, Day One

So I need to make another note to myself….don’t even take a red-eye and arrive in town the morning of a conference.  :-/  I lasted until 10:30am and then I had to go upstairs and take a nap.  I could not keep my eyes open any longer!

I attended the morning Ajaxian Framework Summit on Dojo and I’m really interested in learning more about it now.  I’ve never used frameworks before and I’d like to play around with them and see what they have to offer. Continue reading

Sam is Home!

Sam came home this afternoon.  His stay was a little longer than we expected due to more extensive surgery.  Instead of a wedge being taken out, the whole upper left lobe was removed.  The primary cancer was too close to scar tissue from the radiation and residual scar tissue from smoking in order to have a margin of safety.  This was a good thing because the pathology report found another cancer shadowed by the primary one and several other tumors when the lobe was dissected.
